Your Horse’s Care is Our First Responsibility

Conveniently located across from the Deep Run Horse Show grounds & Dover Hall event venue. Our peaceful rural setting is only ten minutes from Short Pump’s popular shopping and dining district.

Stalls range in size from 12' x 12' to 12' x 18'. Each features thick rubber mats on the floor, and stall & grooming areas are covered by an automatic fly spray system. We use only the finest bedding materials and horse feed.

Your horse is fed twice daily and that includes administering food supplements or medications which you have supplied. Stalls are cleaned every day while your horse is turned out for exercise in one of MSEC’s seven pastures.

Fly masks and blankets are put on and taken off each day as the temperature requires. Our attendants provide general inspection of your horse and when necessary, application of first aid for minor injuries. We have preferred vets and farriers, but you may use whomever you choose.

Lay-Up Service – In cooperation with the local veterinary community, MSEC offers lay-up board for injured or post-surgical horses that require special attention.

We have three stalls set aside for lay-ups and three lay-up paddocks that range in size from approximately 16’ X 20’ to 40’ X 75’, so your horse is not confined to a barn during his convalescence.

We care for your horse in strict compliance with your vet’s orders including administering medications, changing bandages, hand walking and whatever other treatments are prescribed.
